My thought process here is to see if committers agree it would be good to have a foundation wide xmpp server. For example, one person inside the Modeling project complained that he had to use Skype, AIM, MSN, GTalk just to talk to members of his project. After talking to a lot of committers lately, there is a large complaint of being able to find committers and talking to them.
